A Record Participation and a Strong International Attendance 1693 participants, including 562 foreign participants from 44 countries took part in the programs of TIF 2013, mostly focused this year on the new investment code, legislative and structural reforms to promote FDI in Tunisia, the new opportunities in high value-added sectors and the business prospects in Tunisia, from the perspective of investors.

TIF 2013 was held under the theme of “New Tunisia, Towards a new Strategy of Sustainable Investment”,and opened by the Head of the Tunisian Government, H.E. Ali Larayedh. It was attended by foreign official participants and guests of honours, including namely Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali Al-Madani, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), Mr. Mark tomlinson, High Representative of the G8 - Deauville Partnership for the British government, Mrs. Wendy R. Sherman,Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America, Mr. Jean-Jacques Queyranne, Chairman of the Rhône-Alpes region of France, Mr. Francesco Colucci,Member of the Italian Senate and Chairman of the Association of Tunisian-Italian Parliamentary Friendship, Mr. Phillip Bennett, Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Mr. Louis BEDOUCHA, Director MIGA Paris - World Bank and Mr. Petko Draganov, Deputy Secretary-General of UNCTAD.
TIF 2013 also included the organization of 7 workshops with 68 speakers who addressed topical issues related to the investment climate in Tunisia. Thus, the debate was conducted about themes such as "The Entry of Tunisia in Islamic Financial Markets," "Tunisian skills abroad for the promotion of Tunisia," and "How to attract innovative FDI in the MED region? ".
Several international events were held alongside the 3rd edition of TIF 2013: the Symposium of the Deauville Partnership for Investment, initiated by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) on behalf of the international financial institutions that are members of the Deauville Partnership; the meeting of the working group of the EU-Tunisia Council for Entrepreneurship; the General Assembly of ANIMA Investment Network.
About 60 journalists and 47 media covered TIF 2013, including 13 foreign journalists who came especially to cover this event.
The Forum was also a privileged place for multisectoral networking, which was attended by 139 participantsincluding 36 foreign participants on the second day of the Forum.
